Join the University Motor Pool Team today! Want to be in the driver's seat? The University Motor Pool is recruiting to fill two (2) Customer Service positions.
These Customer Service positions are vital to the mission of the department and will provide excellent opportunities for the qualified applicants to build their professional resumes. Starting wage is $9.00/hr.
Position summary:
Successful candidates will assist the Motor Pool Manager with customer service initiatives by designing, testing, and/or implementing new service programs that improve communication, interaction, acquisition and retention of customers. This will involve evaluation of current business practices, service strategies, and customer bases in order to develop innovative service marketing.
Additionally, these positions will provide basic administrative support for the reservation and dispatch process, registration of drivers, and administration of vehicle training.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and will have a background in marketing, merchandising, sales, or communications. We’re looking for attitude, innovation, and follow-through.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required. Writing samples may be requested during the interview process. Applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience in the following areas is preferred: Public speaking, Design software such as Adobe CS2 or equivalent, Dream Weaver or other web design tools.
The ability to learn new skills rapidly may substitute for some or all of these requirements.
Position Details:
All applicants must be a current student at OSU with at least 5 terms remaining beginning Spring Term ‘08. This is a 15 month commitment.
Applicants should be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during academic terms and at least 30 hours per week not to exceed 40 hours per week during the summer and breaks. Hours: Monday-Friday available from 7am-5:30pm. Reasonable accommodations for school, vacation or other leave time will be made.
The starting hourly wage is $9.00/hr.
