Business Services provides materials management for Oregon State University.
We administer the printing, mailing, campus freight, inventory, recycling,
purchasing and surplus property functions for equipment and supplies
acquired by the university colleges, schools, divisions, departments,
offices, and centers. For directions to our building, view the Campus

Our Mission:

support the teaching and research efforts of the University by applying continuous
quality improvement techniques throughout our processes, we strive for excellence
in quality with each and every service we provide. We continually monitor our
customers’ needs and are committed to employ innovative technologies
in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

Campus Freight provides safe and effective receipt, pick up and distribution
of freight and packages as well as shipping assistance and competitive freight discounts.
- Campus
Recycling develops and maintains a cost effective and efficient
waste management program that focuses on reducing, reusing and recycling
with trash disposal as a last resort.
- Contract
Office provides customers with efficient processing of all procurement
and research related grant and contract documents.
- Inventory
Control maintains, validates and reports key asset information
to meet the needs of our university customers, and to comply with government
and research sponsor requirements.
- Motor Pool provides comprehensive fleet services to OSU Departments and has a daily tripper pool of more than 170 vehicles to meet staff and faculty's short term rental needs.
- Procurement and Contract Services (PaCS) assists, advises and provides oversight to
OSU Departments in meeting their procurement needs. It also provides customers
with efficient processing of all procurement and research related grant
and contract documents.
- Printing & Mailing provides professional and creative guidance for the many-faceted communication pieces that OSU produces. Project elements may include print (including variable data), CD/DVD production, large format printing, and print and Web design. This department also manages both campus and off-campus mail and serves as the OSU shipping center.

Property recycles as much surplus property as possible to other
departments on campus, other state agencies, or to qualified non-profit
organizations.
